Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread cubes day-old or stale
  • 1 cup cranberries fresh or dried
  • 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Place the bread cubes in a baking dish. Sprinkle the cranberries and chopped nuts over the bread.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread, making sure all pieces are soaked.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.
