Collard Greens Sausage Penne Recipe

- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb Italian sausage sliced
- 1 bunch collard greens chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- to taste salt and pepper
1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Add the chopped collard greens and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.
5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
