Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa rinsed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk any type
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup chopped nuts optional
  • 0.25 cup fresh berries optional

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, combine quinoa and water. Bring to a boil.
  3. 3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and quinoa is tender.
  4. 4. Stir in cinnamon, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. 5. Serve warm, topped with chopped nuts and fresh berries if desired.
