Main Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate chopped
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 3 tablespoon water
- 2 cups heavy cream cold
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
1. Melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave until smooth.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the melted chocolate to the sugar mixture and stir until combined.
4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
5. Fold half of the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until well combined.
6. Layer the chocolate mousse and remaining whipped cream in serving glasses.
7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
8. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
