Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
