Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 can Cherry Pie Filling

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Spread 3 cups of the batter into a greased baking pan. Spread the cherry pie filling over the batter. Drop the remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over the filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
