Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe

A healthier alternative to traditional pizza, using a cauliflower crust.

Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1 head Cauliflower cut into florets
  • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 Egg beaten
  • ½ teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Toppings

  • ½ cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Bell Peppers sliced
  • ¼ cup Red Onion sliced
  • ¼ cup Mushrooms sliced

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the cauliflower florets until they resemble rice.
  3. Microwave the cauliflower rice for 5 minutes, then let it cool. Once cooled, place it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cauliflower, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet and press it into a pizza crust shape.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  7. Remove the crust from the oven and add your pizza sauce, cheese, and desired toppings.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
