Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
