Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread, cubed day-old or stale
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ cup raisins optional

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Place the cubed bread in a baking dish and pour the milk mixture over the bread. Let it soak for about 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle raisins over the top if using.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
