  • 3 pounds corned beef brisket
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Place the corned beef brisket in a Dutch oven.
  3. Add the beef broth, chopped onion, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, mustard seeds, and thyme.
  4. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
  5. Cover the Dutch oven and transfer it to the preheated oven.
  6. Braise for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  7. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
