Bolognese Sauce Recipe

Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 28 oz canned tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon.
  5. Pour in the milk and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  6. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  7. Add the canned tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Stir well.
  8. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  9. Serve over your favorite pasta.
