Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a food processor, mash the black beans until thick and pasty.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed black beans, bread crumbs, onion, egg, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. 3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. 4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until heated through and slightly crispy.
