Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Ice water
  • 2 cups Mixed berries fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Turbinado sugar for sprinkling

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. 4. In another bowl, mix the berries, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
  6. 6. Spoon the berry mixture onto the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border. Fold the edges of the dough over the berries, pleating as needed.
  7. 7. Sprinkle the turbinado sugar over the crust. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  8. 8. Let the galette cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
