Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Beef Brisket
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large roasting pan over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove the brisket and set aside. In the same pan, add the onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, and red wine. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the brisket to the pan, cover, and transfer to the oven. Cook for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender.
  6. Let the brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with the pan juices.
