Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef bones
  • 1 Onion, quartered
  • 2 Carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks Celery, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, smashed
  • 2 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Peppercorns
  • 16 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
  2. 2. Transfer roasted bones to a large pot. Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, apple cider vinegar, salt, peppercorns, and water.
  3. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-24 hours.
  4. 4. Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer and discard solids.
  5. 5. Let broth cool, then refrigerate. Skim off any fat that solidifies on top before using.
