Basic Bechamel Sauce Recipe

- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- to taste Salt
- to taste Ground nutmeg
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add flour and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes, until it forms a smooth paste.
Gradually add milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Continue to cook and whisk until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
Season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg to taste.
