- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 bananas, sliced
- 1 box vanilla wafers
In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, flour, and salt over medium heat until thickened.
Gradually whisk in beaten egg yolks and cook for another 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
Layer banana slices and vanilla wafers in a serving dish.
Pour the pudding mixture over the layers.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
