Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 bananas, sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafers

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, sugar, flour, and salt over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Gradually whisk in beaten egg yolks and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Layer banana slices and vanilla wafers in a serving dish.
  5. Pour the pudding mixture over the layers.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
