Ingredients

  • 3 cups Self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter cold, cubed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  3. Add the cubed butter and rub it into the flour until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for a minute.
  6. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking tray.
  7. Score the top with a knife and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
