Crust
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup cold water
Filling
- 5 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Crumble Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar for the crust. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water and mix until the dough comes together.
Press the dough into a tart pan and set aside.
In another bowl, mix the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon. Spread the apple mixture over the crust.
For the crumble topping, combine flour, brown sugar, and melted butter. Sprinkle over the apples.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Let it cool before serving.
