Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter cold, cut into small cubes
  • ¼ cup Ice water
  • 4 Apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1 Egg beaten, for egg wash

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and cold butter. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add ice water a tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles to fit your muffin tin. Press the dough into the tin.
  6. Fill each tartlet with the apple mixture. Brush the edges with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
