Tea Panna Cotta

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons Gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons Water for blooming gelatin
  • 2 bags Black tea

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
  4. 4. Add the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract to the hot mixture, whisking until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  5. 5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove any lumps.
  6. 6. Pour the mixture into ramekins and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  7. 7. To serve, run a knife around the edge of each panna cotta and invert onto a plate.
