An Easter Brunch Menu for Staying At Home

Everything is different now. Still, there’s good reason to break out of the ordinary and plan a wonderful Easter brunch. Here are my favorite menu ideas.

Some holidays are quiet affairs. We have spent many Thanksgivings and Christmases with just our family of four. This Easter 2020, we know it will be “just us.”

I adore brunch. Firstly, because it’s the time of day when I naturally want to eat my first real meal. Plus, think of the possibilities! There are no boundaries on brunch.

You can go sweet or savory, keep it simple or have multiple courses. Your Easter brunch can even include a spring salad!

To be honest, the first thing I put in my mouth on Easter is a jelly bean because the Easter Bunny always leaves a trail of them for the girls to find their Easter baskets.

After a morning of stealing candy, I’m ready for a tantalizing and nourishing meal. Here, then, is an Easter menu to inspire your own festivities–with your own family, yourself {the best leftovers} or with friends over Zoom.

Mix & Match Easter Brunch Menu

Start with a Good Beverage

Vanilla tea latte
We all could use a cup of comfort. Make that two. This vanilla tea latte recipe makes an aromatic black tea latte flavored with vanilla and sweetened with honey to share.

Now, Something Baked

Oatmeal scones
These maple oatmeal scones are a multigrain breakfast for on the go or a brunch. Sweetened with maple syrup and dried fruit with an optional maple glaze.

An Easy Egg Dish

The frittata is breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is refined enough to serve guests and hearty enough to satisfy your own aching hunger. This steaming technique is magic.

Don’t Forget the Bacon

I learned how to batch-cook bacon working in restaurant kitchens, and it’s the only way because it’s hands-free and reliable with lots of payoffs.

Yes, Salad for Brunch!

Complete with Cake

This 3-tiered carrot cake with ample frosting is perfect for the first-time baker and for any occasion–Easter, birthdays, anniversaries–and springtime.

Whatever you do, I hope you cook something good for yourself, eat slowly and take just a moment to be present in this complex, trying and important time.
